Approved registries
Only APPROVED registries can earn a 📜 badge or back a listing. Approval is our policy, not a partnership.
Original American Bully registry since 2004; registration requires a 4-generation pedigree plus photos; flagged dogs need a 3-generation pedigree from approved registries, judge and panel review, sometimes DNA; studs siring 3+ litters must be DNA profiled.
Founded 1898, first registry to recognize the APBT; records back to the 1890s; first all-breed DNA program (1996).
Closed studbook; mandatory kennel inspections with DNA parentage audits and penalties for excluded litters. Does not register the American Bully.
Founded 1909, largest APBT registration office; DNA certification via NEOGEN, required for frozen-semen litters and brood stock outside age limits.
Not on our approved list (approved: ABKC, UKC, AKC, ADBA only). FCI (founded 1911) member national clubs keep studbooks with mutually recognized pedigrees. The reviewer records the specific member club; the FCI itself issues no pedigrees.
Not on our approved list (approved: ABKC, UKC, AKC, ADBA only). UK national kennel club and studbook; not an FCI member, but has a mutual pedigree recognition agreement with the FCI.
Not on our approved list (approved: ABKC, UKC, AKC, ADBA only). Canada's national registry; not an FCI member, but has a mutual pedigree recognition agreement with the FCI. Not the same as the US Continental Kennel Club.
Shorty Bull registry. We have not yet confirmed its studbook rules, parent-record requirements, or DNA program.
Rare-breed registry. Its registration criteria are not yet confirmed.
Offers DNA profiles, but its registration criteria are not yet confirmed.
Registers dogs without parent records through its PAW program (photos plus two witnesses) and registers non-purebreds. That matches our rejection criteria for pedigree papers, but it stays under review pending a full policy check.
An unlisted registry cannot earn a badge until it has been reviewed against the criteria and added here.
